Post your current song playing, simple enough. Additional details if you feel like it (Link, genre, description, art, etc.)

Lost Valentinos - Bismarck (Listen)

Orignally heard these guys playing in Sydney with Van She, had a nice electronic/ alternative sound, their style has changed a bit to more of a bass groove sound. Released this song a couple months ago.

I've been listening to this whole album lately:

I couldn't really just settle with one, but if I had to I would probably say the best two are track#2 Apple Of The Eye(Lay Me Down) for a wicked energetic song and track#4 Zombie for it's message about becoming a zombie(not literally).

You should all know who Something With Numbers are, they're a good Aussie punk/pop(now more pop) band. Their first EP was definitely from punk roots, but still had an energetic feeling. Their following albums have grown with the band I assume, Ettiquette is a fantastic album start to end. Great energy all the way through, with slow songs in the right places.

A Perfect Distraction is kind of the turning point into more pop based sound. The music leads to a more serious theme, I think they're beginning to find themselves. Zombie is a good track to emphasise this.

Their latest album Engineering The Soul has a whole different feel to it than their original EP; The Barnicles and Stripes EP. I still don't have a final verdict on this album as I havn't listened to it enough.

Do listen to some of their stuff though, they're a fantastic band if you like a bit of pop/punk(not gay pop/punk though).

Currently playing: Black Acres - Elysian Fields. From their Queen of the Meadow Album. Not really sure how to describe it...Jennifer Charles is the vocal artist from this band, she's done some work with the people from Handsome Boy Modeling School and various other compilations. She has a sultry arty pop rock cabaret style. Doesnt really fit a genre, although wiki says Elysian Fields is "pop/art rock" or something. She has the kind of voice that makes you want to violently sex her fase up without even knowing what she looks like.

According to fubar - Psy Trance Euphoria Mixed by John Oo Fleming (The Full On Mix).

An 80 minute set of psytrance that starts quite dark and driving and then moves into the more uplifting and vocal sounds. Good samples from Dune, and some infected mushroom (elation station) at the end to bring the set down - the whole set has quite an awesome flow to it.

Another track that I pulled up from collection is Electro Sun - Double Trouble - First track from their latest album "C3". A high-energy explosive track with thumping basslines. An awesome "1am" track. I'm looking forward to using this one in a psytrance mix i'm making at home.

There's a chick in the publishing department at work who speaks like that. You can hear her throughout the entire office, especially when she's on the phone. Usually attracts a few giggles in our department. She had a phone conversation with her 'other half' (he doesn't seem to have a name): 'GOOD morning DARLING!'. Every morning she comes in,'GOOD morning <name>' to everyone she walks past. It's so scarily chirpy that if she's headed for the toilet at the same time I am, I detour to the stationery room to avoid it.
