What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in "The Walking Dead"? This spin-off set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world, will answer that question.

Cool cool, I just hope they've learnt from TWD and won't make 3/4 of the episodes godawful.

TWD did get much, much better but there were still almost entire seasons that were a drag to watch.

Wasn't this the whole premise of TWD series?

Wasn't it more about surviving in the horrifying apocalypse?

Rick wakes up from hospital, the world has already changed.

This seems more as it's turning kinda shit.

I foresee failed army resistance, generic CDC shit, looting, etc.

Yeah the series in both comic form and tv show never really explore the outbreak. You have no idea what transpired and how it built up except through maybe the novel that had Phillip.

Ooooooh so dramatic.

I wonder if it is going to have the same character development quality as The Walking Dead or whether the writers are going to focus on the dramatic nature of the world ending.

This looks pretty interesting. It's a shame it stars Kim Dickens who I find excruciatingly annoying in anything she's in though.

This is definitely an unexplored/unexplained part of that world so hopefully they make it interesting and like Fork said, avoid making it super tedious like TWD was for a long time.

I think I'll just wait to see if you guys end up liking it or give up. Not a good sign though when the first episode of walking dead was probably the best one [of the first two seasons at least].

Still not 100% sold on this but I do like that the humans think they have shit under control, with safe zones and a zombie free perimeter and shit.

Anyone else still watching? Thoughts?

I feel that some of the character are playing the same old, nothing is wrong they're fine! OH SHIT NO THEIR NOT!.

That gets annoying especially from the physc boyfriend. Crackhead seams to one of the more interesting characters. Even though he was stealing old bed ridden man's drugs during the night with needle between the toes.
