So this was pretty fun running around with the bin fases of yore yesterday. Although heading out for a few hours put me a few levels behind the pack, there's still plenty of people playing and levelling.

Also, playing horde (and a warrior) for the first time is interesting, big change from the night elf starting area, but I think everywhere was different to Dalaran.

I can't play with 400 ping and one or two addons, way too frustrating. All the mechanics feel broken, I guess that's vanilla for you.

Use Leatrix plus to reduce latency

I used to have 450 ping, now i play @ 200 ping

Pretty sure it doesn't actually change latency - it just changes what your meter says. If I'm wrong let me know, I might give it another go.

Windows and OSX generally bundle network signals together to save traffic. This is preferred because it's more efficient traffic wise. Obviously waiting a minor period of time to send that traffic will create a minute delay. From what I have read this removes the buffer, sending the traffic instantly.

So if everybody was sending traffic instantly it would fuck shit up on a big scale, but doing it manually just to play a game is no big deal. Reason why it's not a default.

Basically this mod removes the floodgate, every signal you send is processed immediately. Nobody would notice or give a fuck with normal latency, however with a large default ping, it is noticeable.

TLDR: Mod causes traffic to happen as it occurs, instead of waiting a minute amount of time. Which makes a difference when you have a default shit ping.

But why do I have to pay for this? Can't I just change some settings somewhere?
