Ausedragon
I selected Mage and Horde, Pretty much any cloth caster is what I'm willing to play (Spriest, Lock, Mage) and I'm happy with either faction, only selecting horde because the guides for leveling are easier to find!

I'm bummed about wasted time on Nost if we move, however if the community moves then its probably best to follow it there.
Fork
I've always wanted to try out priest.

If we're re-rolling I may put a few hours into it when Stacey's working a weekend and see how we go.
Matey
Whoever is interested in playing I'd suggest going to the site and simply following the instructions of how to play. I think it is about a 5gb. You just change the realmlist with notepad and create an account on the site. I'd also suggest getting some addons - which can be found on the sites forums or simple google search.

It is important to note that leveling is quite a slow process (at least it was for me after playing retail for so long). Killing a level 3 mob in retail would take 1 or 2 casts, but in vanilla you cast 4-5 times then melee swing a few times and cast once more just to kill it. Questing together makes things a lot easier and definitely speeds things up (except for pick up quests). I'd assume there will also be several roadblock quests due to the mass of people being in the same zone. I remember an undead starting zone quest taking an hour when I first played, and then 10 minutes later on when I made an alt.

When it comes to us choosing a faction I think the biggest short-term differences would be that horde get an instance at lvl 11-16 right in the capital city (RFC) where as the Alliances first instance in Deadmines (15+). Horde also have easy access to WC around level 18+, where Alliance has stockades (23+). So by going horde we could do a few more group things sooner. Obviously the other main difference (apart from aesthetic) is Shaman vs Paladin. So i guess if someone desperately wanted to play one of those classes it could be a determining factor of what faction we choose.
