The hypocrisy is what kills me.

The trash and mud slung by the LNP prior to the election regarding promises, lies and policies before doing exactly the same thing and then bleating about how everything is still the ALP'S fault.

No two ways about it, federal ALP are fuckwits and a rabble, but you have zero legitimacy if you're lying consistently and constantly blaming your predecessors - regardless of their failings.

When your biggest coup of your first year in government is scrapping a revenue raising tax while trying to combat deficit, and literally nothing else, you are failing. Failing abysmally.

It's funny you should say this because everything you said can be applied to the years of Labor madness we just endured.Except change the scrapping of the Carbon Tax to the initiating of a Carbon Tax after promising not to, for the purpose of pleasing the opinion polls ala climate change and raising some revenue to cover the horrendously out of control spending for which we have what to show for?

If you honestly think that the Rudd and Gillard circus that we just lived through is in any way comparable to the Abbott lead government in terms of trash and mud slinging, broken promises, lies, backstabbing, blaming the former government for everything (Howard) and legitimacy (lol minority government) then you are a blind leftist fool. A fucking moronic blind fool.

Abbott scrapped the tax we voted to scrap and you are calling that an abysmal failure. He did what he was voted in to do. That's what politicians are supposed to do.

What we're talking about here is how the public and media have started bashing the shit out of pollys relentlessly in recent years and why. It's not another opportunity for you to push your anti LNP agenda. We get it, you hate them.

I now hate both parties almost equally and if a far right party springs up that is actually going to build something for my money they will get my vote. I don't care any more if it's at the expense of university fees or 2 square km of reef or disability pensions. I want it to not take an entire day to fly to Brisbane or 2.5 hours to cross a city. This shit is crippling business. It's too fucking expensive to operate in this country and if we don't do anything about it soon there will be no jobs for your degree anyway.

I read heavy LNP criticism as usual, with a token "but federal ALP are fukwits too". Note the "federal". It was a horribly biased post and I treated it as such.

Hey Jim you should tone it down a bit brah, keep it civil.

It was a bit much, sorry Fun.

Here in Malaysia we have a strong government that doesn't give a fuck what people say and we literally have to deal with it or fuck off.

We are willing to accept new Australian migrants into our great sovereign nation. Just don't bring any drugs, because we'll hang you (really).

Lel, not sure how any of my post provoked that response.

This thread just says 'politics, the media and frustrations' don't see why my views on those things are any less valid than your obvious right wing bias.

you guys should just discuss NZ politics and media. waaaaaay more fun.

we just had front page news of people having sex in an office building. front page?!

Either sex in NZ is a dying art and this rare and ill-frequently observed ritual was worthy of the attention OR...

we just LOVE PORN

Going by my current sex life, it could be either :/

Because the thread was about the over the top and constant berating of Tony Abbot/LNP and politicians by the media and people in general that Matey is being bombarded with on a daily basis, and that is exactly what you came in to do. Either you were trying to be ironic, or you didn't read the thread properly.

Because I didn't use my right wing bias to attack the ALP at all in my original post. I've used it to promote action. Where as you simply came in to criticise one party with the same tired repertoire as usual, which is exactly the kind of thing we're complaining about.

My post was heavy handed, but I get the shits when people give me the impression that they think the ALP would be doing a better job right now when they are so far from competent it's laughable and they spent a very recent 7 years proving that. The fact is the best party right now is the LNP and even they are shit. That's the real issue. And we all know there are no alternatives to those two.

Sex between two humans is indeed a dying art in NZ, quite the spectacle. Anyone got a link to a full video?

I don't want to derail this topic any more, but I think this is relevant.

Let's try keep in mind that this thread is in the 'meaningful discussion' part of the forums. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, biased or not. Just don't talk about New Zealand because who really cares, right? (Thanks for keeping on topic Jim).

The discussion can be heated, that really gets the ball rolling (pretty sure Doc got brain cancer when he was trying to express his thoughts). Everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is no reason to point fingers. My main intention was to discuss how the general public is brainwashed in to choosing a particular party, and that their choice of who to vote for is mainly based on who is cool and who isn't - not what the party actually stands for.
