With the problems now several weeks behind us its time to look ahead to the direction of the guild for the future. Currently I am happy where things are at the moment. Plenty of people are always online lots of familiar faces are always around and we are doing a normal raid once per week. That's not to say things may be so good for everyone. This is your place to tell us what you think.

Where would you like to see the guild head in the future?

Things to consider:
  • Would you like us to add new social members or not add any new people?
  • Would you like to raid more?
  • Would you like to do regular battle grounds and more pvp?
  • Anything else?

Thanks for your input!

Can always count on you for a good troll, Shrewm.

I'd like the WoW guild to head in whichever direction it wants, as long as people are having fun.

I submit: "Dog-scrote"

Thirded.

Forum participation should be encouraged as it all stems from there, the weekly viewing threads and game tournaments all start here.

Guild could provide incentives? A prize of some gold form the gbank for the WoW player who has the most post votes (hearts/likes) in a week or something? We can help you get the stats for that.

Other than that, maybe some more guild activities in game? They always build community and are great fun. Storm a capital city, raid Tarren Mill, have a transmog/pokemon/garrison competition or whatever the hell else is in the game. Post screenshots on the forums and link that thread every 5 minutes in gchat, people will click it.

Considering the majority of your replies have been from regular non-player forum bashers, I'd say this

is your biggest issue, Cailo.

Shrewm's rank, if any, should simply be "bitch", or "the bitch" if you would like to clarify among those that don't know.

What we want to see is late teens - early twenties nerd rage and flame threads. And bring back recruitment threads so I can chuckle at how some WoW players can be so socially incompetent that even an online recruitment forum works them up into such a nervous and befuddled mess that they can barely function.

Forum participation is a great use for the wow guild. Currently I have the in game recruitment tool active to look for social players but this will take time as most of the time these type of people are casual players who are never online to receive a guild invite. I could request applicants to make a recruitment post here in the forums but for a social player this would be an ordeal and I would expect too few people would do it. I could say "a post to our recruitment thread is optional", but I'd question if it would be a good idea to add a forum link in the recruitment message as it might lead dodgy people here. I'll add one if you guys think its a good idea.

The majority of the people who are logging in at the moment are years old veterans who are well aware of the forums. Does anyone know that Peekay is an active member at the moment? I just did a search for his forum account it displays 1020 posts but no activity: he has been inactive in the forums for ages. Veteran participation in the forums is something I could try to increase.

I know you guys like drama but there isn't much drama to be had at the moment. Everyone just chills out and has a good time. Out normal raids of a Saturday night have been great fun and crazy just how many old school people are coming along to them.

Sounds like a good idea but I'm not sure how many people would buy it because I don't think enough people would sign up. The forums always have things going on though. Maybe I'll make a link in the MOTD to your fb page which keeps track of the activities.

Fair enough, was just an idea :)

MOTD linking to the facebook page seems like a good idea to me.
