Nothing starts off a weekend properly like a wholesome breakfast, home cooked and eaten at a leisurely pace, taking in the views.

Last week during my lunch break I somehow thought making myself more hungry was a good idea and binged on Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver cooking videos. I found a couple where they go through scrambled eggs and they looked so different to what I've ever cooked myself.

I remember having the most delicious scrambled eggs at a cafe one time, they were silky smooth and oh so creamy, and wanted to relive that experience at home.

I tried out the Gordon Ramsay style above last weekend, and oh my lord it was delicious. Didn't have creme fraiche (frustratingly checked two supermarkets with no luck) so substituted in sour cream. They turned out very good, went down well, and were pretty easy to make. I think I've found a new favourite!

How do you like your scrambled eggs?

What's your go-to alternative?

My wife makes scrambled eggs with spring onion and feta through it. Then there is slices of avocado on the toast and a drizzle of balsamic over the top.

Yum.

in seperate attempts, i have tried making scramble eggs with milk, water and cream, i prefer milk, but will have to try the sour cream idea at some stage. Im boring and maybe add some parsley.

I'd suggest that you check out the Gordon Ramsay variation above, the method of cooking it is quite different to what I usually did and there's a bunch of little tips throughout.

I usually make a scrambled omlet/eggs thing. First I steam/fry some mushrooms with a tiny but of oil and add garlic chives. I make sure there's no liquid in the pan and then I add my scrambled eggs which consist of:

Eggs
Few more garlic chives
Bunch of Cracked Pepper
Bit of Margarine.
Tiny splash of milk
Herb salt.

In the end it doesn't look very pretty but it's amazing if you're a mushroom/egg lover. Sometimes I'll add a pinch of cheese in if I'm NOT trying for the healthier option.

Must have omitted that if she doesn't put a pinch in, the whole block goes in.

Seriously, try this style of scrambled eggs. What have you got to lose?

I had it twice over the weekend, the second time with some Christmas ham and I nearly lost my load it was so fucking delicious.

I'll have to actual try this. I don't really cool, but I fucking love scrambled eggs and is one of the few things (mostly breakfast food) that I'm alright at making.
