Hello friends,

I was hoping some of you could have a look at this computer build I have come across and am possibly looking to buy. My laptop will surely explode if I do not get a desktop soon for my summer of gaming. Enesis put this together for me, keeping in mind I really only play WoW and TF2 like games anyway. Any comments/information would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Is 250GB of space going to be enough? You don't need too much for your main drive (that's where you store your games and such) but generally you'll end up with a bunch of other crap that you don't want clogging up your speedy gonzales drive. A 2TB regular HDD is about $99 these days.

The rest of it looks fine to me, can't really go wrong with any of those. The brands are good and the components fit together, so go for it.

Looks good. You could save a bit of money here and there (ssd, ram ect) but yeah, you've got everything covered.

Probably don't need such a powerful graphics card but it's a personal choice.

You're probably going to have issues gaming without a keyboard/mouse/monitor so you might want to look into that.

I do not, does this matter? Again, I really am clueless when it comes to this stuff.

Around $2000 but thats really the max I want to spend.

Probably going to up the storage space from 250G

Ohh boy you weren't kidding.

So you've never owned a PC?

The Windows 8.1 product you linked contains a DVD. (that's how you install their software) Without an optical drive, you would have nowhere to put the DVD and install windows. Optical Drives are cheap as chips ($20) - get the cheapest possible.

Do you know the difference between a HHD and an SSD? You will not need more than 250gb if you only play a few games.

I highly suggest checking out a website like http://www.tomshardware.com/ in getting up to speed with what a PC requires and entails.

Optical drive = CD drive (or in this case, CD/DVD drive).

Edit: somehow, SilverClaw's post has appeared out of nowhere.

I dont know dude but for 2,000 your build doesnt seem to be all that powerful.. I mean you could get pre-built pc's that have more or less similar specs but are far cheaper... or maybe even shenanigans like these

honestly though, if I had $2k to spend i'll get another alienware latop. Im a huge alienware fan cuz they come up with some crazy shit like 13 inch laptops that you can plug into one of these and outperform a lot of things out there.

Oh wow, those dell refurbished look like my best option, could get one for $900. So many mixed reviews about alienware, I'm looking at this one

I actually found building a PC easier than expected. The thing I had the most trouble with was and is the fans. I'm going to buy a few silent ones and get them running quiet as a mouse on Christmas morning ...hopefully.

Just read up on the case on sites like Tom's Hardware and reviews on pages you trust, then you'll see how it all needs to slot into place.

Here's a few photos of my complete bauild in a mATX case, which is an awesome size.

Edit: I'm also hoping to get some red sleeved cables and lighting... That wireless adapter pisses me off though. Such a stink colour.

Never buy a pre-built PC.

Those 'refurbished' builds have terrible performance for value. That graphics card (GTX 745) has 1/3 the power* of an R9 290.

Assuming you have other HDD's for games and shit, otherwise buy them down the track.
