Yup. I'm keen.

I like how it's a proper trailer, rather than showing half the film/all the good parts.

That's because I believe it's coming out in 2016 and they probably only have these parts filmed haha

I enjoyed this movie quite a lot, but it wasn't without its flaws.

For a movie so ambitious and thought provoking, I felt this was rushed to smash together a couple of half baked ideas that ironically felt preachy.

It seemed like it was aiming for the middle ground between a fantastical adventure movie with goofy robots and funnies, and some hard hitting truths on the fate of society.. but was always one step away from hitting its stride that would have made it all gel together.

But with all of that said, it was sill one helluva ride with some very cool shit going on.

The utopia montage with jetpacks and layered swimming polls and shit was breathtaking. The technologies for the 3D printed helix skyscrapers/elevators/whatever were very cool. The agents and Home-Alone-esque trap scene was fucking brilliant, and the Eifel Tower scene (and history behind it) was spectacular to watch.

Definitely worth a watch, and I think it would definitely be worth a second viewing.

In hindsight I think I was a bit harsh on the movie, most likely expecting it to be something it wasn't. The little kick in the teeth near the end may have left me a tad bitter, but I actually really liked it and thought it was put together very well. If there was a directors cut to fix a few of the little issues this could be tweaked into something quite special.

Gonna give this one 4/5 jetpacks.

I agree with you on all points Fork. For me it had such a load of good things happening but somehow it just failed to hit the bullseye. It's like they were trying to be too many things at once. Something like Indiana Jones cross National Treasure cross Men in Black cross Narnia cross Inception cross Captain Planet. As you can see, too many things.

I thought this was fantastic.

I agree that there was a bit too much going on and with a little more focus is could have been something truly unforgettable, but nevertheless it was some great entertainment.

The "commercial" with the floating pools etc was super cool. Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Up) sure is a creative guy! I feel like he was probably responsible for the fun childlike-wonder aspects and Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus) was likely responsible for the darker themes.
