Now that we've gotten the Wiki quote out of the way, onto the good stuff.

Matt and Alex join me on the way to work and are generally hilarious.

I miss out on Like A Version but catch the Thursday Weather Rap which is generally fucking amazing. There's the odd dud but this week's "Whyalla You Only Rap Me When You're High?" was probably his best so far.

I'm much preferring Matt to Tom, you? And are you Hump Crew or Grump Crew?

On the way home I get The Doctor, there isn't really any special recurring segments but It's usually dotted with decent music, interviews and shit.

I'm still amazed that he can pull of such a prime time segment so seamlessly, and is impressively educated in all things music.

Anyone else still a regular listener?
Tried the new Unearthed or Double J stations?
Or have you moved to the old classic stations like an old man?

What standout segments do you catch on your daily commute?
How many newsreaders do they need to go through until they can find one that can read? (in before blind joke)

PS: I swear we had some discussion about Triple J in another thread but for the life of me I couldn't find it, so I made this.

I think I preferred Tom to Matt, but Matt is still entertaining enough so I don't really mind.

I'm fine with all JJJ presenters that aren't Lewis and Veronica. I just absolutely cannot stand her voice or the really shittily obvious way they pretend they just came up with pre-planned things.

The sometimes annoying thing I run into is that we have JJJ on in the office now but it's from the net stream which is live (from eastern states), so when I leave work I then get to re-hear everything I just heard two hours ago. But having decent music on in the office makes up for this minor annoyance.

Right now I'm listening to Dr Karl!

Oh shit yeah, gonna boot up the live stream for Dr Karl now.

I love that guy so much, on Twitter (@DoctorKarl) he regularly answers a bunch of questions too which is always interesting.

I also get the annoying eastern states delay repetition on the weekend when I'm listening to it through my Sonos stuff then listen to it in the car later that day. But it also works in my favour a bit as when I get home ~4pm and start cooking dinner, Good Nights or House Party are usually starting so I've got great music playing instead of The Doctor or Hack.

Also agreed with Lewis and Veronica, fuck everything about them.

I still listen to JJJ.
Matt is growing on me in the morning, now his voice is less annoying.
Some days the Doctor annoys me in the afternoon, though I tend to only catch the tail end of his show. I like being in the car to hear Hack in the afternoon. I'm glad Tom Tilley is back, as I didn't like Sophie McNeill.

Tom Tilley is just an amazing host. He handles the guests and listeners so well and just takes no shit from any of them.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to follow him and hopefully see some interesting things. I already follow Neil deGrasse Tyson for some science so a bit more sure can't hurt

I still listen to JJJ but Im never in the car often enough to catch full shows or anything. When I do listen at home its usually at night so Ill catch Hack, Good Nights or House Party.

My favourite segments/presenters are Tom/Matt & Alex, Tom Tilley, and Dr Karl
My least favourite presenters would have to be Veronica and Lewis and Nina Las Vegas and occasionally the Doctor when his interviews dont go well.

Have yet to check out the new channels yet, are they any good?

Hump Crew!
Mound Posse!

I've shifted my work hours a bit so I finish at 2:30 now instead of 3 which means I catch the end of Lewie in the arvo instead of the start of The Doctor. Thankfully half of it's taken up with The Doctor talking about what is coming up on his show, because Lewie's voice just bores me to tears.

Doctor Karl is going to start shortly if anyone wants to jump on the live stream and have a listen :)
