Just noticed this. Game does indeed look interesting. The harsh death penalty could go either way, depends how they balance it. It will likely stop a lot of solo grief style play which is good.

I'm the same with the PS4, will likely wait a little before I decide to purchase it.

That made me laugh, if anything knowing that you can take a shit on someones virtual mercenary and make him lose his stuffs will lead to more 'grief' style play.

I welcome this. You'll see the smart band together and act cohesively, the stupid and unwary will die to gankers in droves.

Nothing like having a shitty gun and ambushing a group of well armed players going to resupply. One of the things I loved about Dayz.

Be at the right spot at the right time and you can get geared out easily.

You asked for it (at least judging from the hundreds of comments on this UbiBlog post when the game was first revealed – and the thousands of comments on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere). And now Ubisoft is delivering. Today, Ubisoft confirmed that along with the previously announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available on PC as well.

Yay.. I guess?

Personally I'm looking forward to enjoying it on console, but time will tell I guess.

That looks fucking bawse. I think it would chew through your battery though :P

Oh shit yes. You'd have to plug it in after a few hours, but I think this is more of a casual element, so they'd probably only expect someone to log on for an hour tops. It's not the most exciting support role, but who knows... Something for the gf to do? ;)

It kinda looks like it offers such big advantages that you'd really want/need someone on a tablet the whole time to keep you ahead. Which means one person gets stuck with the role that's probably a whole lot less fun than the console version.

I am glad to hear that this is coming out for the PC, though it does mean one less nudge in getting a next-gen console. Same case with Titanfall as well.

The game does look great, if they deliver an experience close to what they have teased so far. It's basically a multiplayer S.T.A.L.K.E.R with that Last of Us flavour mixed into it. If they nail the netcode (especially the drop-in/drop-out end of the engine), this could be a seriously fun game. If only the party sizes could be bigger.
