Have I missed something? Did you decide to do a backflip on MS-paint requirements for these guys Shaunz? I could have sworn you were adamant about it not being required for GW2?

Or have you just recently brought it in due to the increasing number of applicants? Further to that question, how many people do you have now and how many can you have?

Not bad Jim, the sort of sharp observation I've come to expect from you.

I still remain that it is not a compulsory affair. However - I did explicitly state that I would bring it in when I felt it necessary. Now is the time that I feel it necessary, nothing more.

Our current fighting strength exceeds fifty members and by default, we can host about 100 members without upgrades. This level of manpower has not been gathered under the Twelve banner since the launch of WoW's Burning Crusade expansion pack - no, we have surpassed that record. I daresay we will expand our strength further when in-game recruitment begins in earnest.

Edit: Member count will be closely monitored and re-evaluated after the initial hype of launch receeds.

Well answered Shaunz, the sort of answer I'd expect from the fully qualified battle hardened leader of a pack of screaming banshees hell bent on carving a swath through the trenches of GW2, leaving a trail of blood, guts and sexually assaulted victims in their path.

Just for the record, I was curious for just that reason. It's starting to look like GW2 may surpass WoW as our strongest long-term showing in any game yet. Although I do appreciated things will be changing quickly during the opening weeks, this is nothing short of a fantastic effort so far.

WoW at its peak was huge and lasted for 5+ years in a strong capacity, so I think the GW2 team will have a long road ahead of them to qualify for that honour.

It seems Shaun has definitely assembled an excellent team to take a crack at it though.

I should probably have phrased the comment a little better. I know GW2 won't really surpass wow until it's been going for 5+ years, but what I meant was this looks to be our strongest and most organised showing for a new MMO. It also looks to be generating a fuck tonne of interest from the gaming public in general not just Twelvians ala the amount of new recruits.

That statement I absolutely agree with. We're going into this one with guns blazing and so far it looks like the company might actually deliver on its promises for once (based on all the happy beta reports we've had).
